London Rainy Day Photo Shoot

Still catching up on some editing work but today I wanted share a few more images that came out of the 10 minute mini photo session I did with Oliver and his friend Alex splashing around in the mud puddles a few weeks ago. After a morning spent inside avoiding some nasty rain storms, I met my friend Emily in the park with her son (who by the way happens to have the most insanely cute British accent even though his mom and dad are also from the states–I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Oliver will pick this up too once he starts school full time, but alas I digress…). Anyway, both boys were fully equipped with rain boots and coat and in search of the most perfect mud puddle. We were only outside for a few minutes before the boys started complaining about being cold/wet/muddy (I was thinking “could this really be my child” since so often my brother and I would literally swim in the mud puddles in our driveway when we were kids) but we still managed to get some great shots! It was a crazy few minutes because it started raining, then the sun popped out, and the dark clouds seemed to start moving in again. There’s some crazy London weather for you! The last one is the photo I used for the submission :)

What a fun session! There needs to me more of these! No sit perfect…dress perfect…just be “kids”

So cool! I love when the sun started to shine through. Cuties!

Boys just love to get dirty don’t they? It looks like they are having so much fun. Love your pictures.

This is so sweet! You can tell they had a lot of fun!

what is it about boys + rainboots + playing in the mud? i love this!! great work!

I too love the mood in theses photos. Beautiful editing and the boys are absolutely adorable!

Beautiful work! I love the rich tones in your images!

gorgeous, love this, so basic yet so creative!

Oh how fun! I love the interaction between the boys along with the lifestyle feel. They’ll love to look back at these 20 years from now :)

Those photos are great. I’m Emily’s sister. I can never get over Alex’s accent-I keep meaning to video him talking so someday when he loses his accent we will have memories of it.

Your son is adorable!
