Venice Wedding Photography – Venice Destination Wedding Inspiration

December 24, 2015

If I had to name one city in the world that is guaranteed to bring butterflies to my stomach with it’s sheer romance and beauty, Venice, hands down, takes the award.  With it’s narrow winding canals, beautiful bridges, and enchanting grand buildings and plazas– It happens to be a city near and dear to my heart. It’s where I spent my first few days newly engaged with my own husband (then fiance) who after proposing in Rome  whisked me away to this gorgeous, floating paradise rich in history and charm.  The city’s soft color palate and organic beauty inspired this shoot for brides who might be considering a Venetian Elopement or Destination Wedding in this perfect Italian city. I am so looking forward to photographing another destination wedding in Venice next spring!

Our first look was created using the beautiful Alessandria dress from Katya Katya Shehurina. This look is so delicate and whimsical it seemed only right to pair it with delicate pearl hair accessories, bracelet and earrings made by Kelly Spence and let the dress’s blue slip do the talking.Venice Wedding Photographer Venice Wedding Photographer Venice Wedding Photographer Venice Wedding PhotographerVenice Wedding PhotographerVenice Wedding Photographer Venice Wedding PhotographerGiulia Rioda  put together an understated but glamorous hair and makeup for the Bride and dapper grooming for the Groom.Venice Wedding PhotographerReal life couple Lisa and Giacomo were completely perfect – young and vibrant they carried off the elegant attire and couldn’t have looked more in love throughout the whole day.Venice Wedding Photographer Venice Wedding Photographer Venice Wedding Photographer Venice Wedding Photographer Venice Wedding PhotographerThe second look for the Bride with Katya Katya Shehurina’s striking Rosa dress gives a completely different feel; more edgy and fashion forward. With delicate cap sleeves and an incredible beaded bodice it was perfect for pairing with rose gold accessories, the Harvest comb, along with earrings and a bracelet from Spence’s collection. Combining roses with astilibe and eucalyptus immediately gave the florals a modern look and brought a beautifully unexpected element. The draping of the linen was important to set off the informal atmosphere, so selecting a material that draped beautifully was key. The heavy chiffon, watery blue cloth was matched with delicately patterned plates and glassware with touches of silver.  Venice Wedding PhotographerVenice Wedding PhotographerAs cakes are less traditional in Italy than most couples opt for in the UK, we took a different approach alongside Asma at The Sugared Saffron Cake Company to create three small cakes of different designs. Each perfectly complimented the colour palette of the shoot, added a touch of whimsy, and brought together the elegant patterns of the table settings. Venice Wedding Photographer
