Hi everyone! Today I’m happy to share the first of two blog posts from this gorgeous pregnancy photography session in London. In case you are wondering why I’m blogging twice about the same session–it’s because during this session we decided to create two distinctly different styles of maternity images during our time together. I often have maternity clients ask about the different options for pregnancy photos and I’m glad that with these two posts I can finally showcase in a visual way what exactly I mean! The first set of images I will share (in this post) are lifestyle pregnancy photos. Lifestyle maternity photography  involves creating relaxed, natural imagery, often focusing on the relationship between family members is a fun, easy and un-posed way. These images are great to use for pregnancy announcements or sharing with broader groups of friends and family online and in social media. The second set of images (which I will be posting soon) are boudoir images–more intimate, usually of the mother to be by herself, and unclothed–focusing on the beautiful lines of a changing pregnant body. Usually these images have a bit more of a fine art feel and are often the photos that clients use as artwork in private areas of their home. While I love the playfulness and sweetness of lifestyle images, I also love the sensual and intimate images that are created during a boudoir session. Either way, pregnancy is such a fleeting time in a woman’s life  and it’s over often before she knows it–whats most important is that regardless of the style you choose, that you have these moments documented beautifully with images you can look back on and cherish for a lifetime.  I had so many favorites from this session it was hard to narrow down a selection. I hope you enjoy!
